Well spotted Arnie, yeah betting 10c into a $1.50 pot is not only bad, but a completely pointless bet, I mean you are giving odds away at 16-1, if you are going to bet anything it shoulfd be either a half pot, 3/4 pot, pot sized or double the pot, aggression is the key to take it down, if you want to milk it then bet half the pot, or my fave is the check raise.

Was the 10c bet a misclick?

I would just check/call down here. Taking a bet/3bet line is way overplaying your particular hand normally, as it totally over represents what you have, so you're unlikely to ever get action from worse, which means you're effectively turning your hand, that has good relative strength on this board into a bluff. However as the raiser just clicked it back, I guess it can't be terrible in this particular spot.

What would you have done had he raised a sensible amount, say to $1.75?

Now we have got to the turn, we probably have little option other than to shove as all draws have missed and we can still maybe get some value from flush draws.

The villain in this hand played it just about as bad as he possibly could by calling it off with a straight draw on a paired flushing board.

Sorry, just re-read this and I think check-raising here is absolutely the worst way to play this hand. When we check raise with 99 on this board, what do we want to happen? There is almost zero chance that a better hand folds and a very good chance that hands like A8 fold, or 77 etc which is pretty much a disaster for us as we have them crushed.
