Re: My 2010

The bet has been cancelled because Jon said he wants to look at my stats every day hoping i win rather than hoping i lose. He said he wants me to do well, and for him to win that bet i would have to start struggling, which I suppose is quite nice after all the horrible banter we normally throw about...

Re: My 2010

Me and Seal have agreed on the terms that i turnover $1,260,000 whilst maintaining a 2.1% ROI, for all games on Full Tilt only in 2011. He said he would post to confirm, so we will just wait! Should be close, the winner gets a £100 ticket to a live game in 2012, and the loser has to go with and suff...

Re: My Name is VBlue and I'm a Pokerholic

Just had a read, good luck for 2011. I have got a blog going aswell, which is being updated every Saturday. I am not letting anyone know the address, i am keeping it as a personal diary sort of thing for now. But later on in the year i might let people know about it (if i think people would find it ...

Re: My 2010

How about to turnover $1,260,000 with a 2.1%+ ROI and forget the sharkscope stats target? The $100k target is something to really push for, but it will be really tough to make. I think i can do it, but i wouldn't make a bet on that target. I was hoping for a prop bet on the turnover/ROI target thoug...

Re: Northern Poker Stars Comes to Furness in 2011

Hey guys, just been reading all the points of view. The simple conclusion that I would come to (as a full time poker player) is that I would be far from happy about playing any game anywhere in the world where the rake was over 10%, unless there was a fee for charity which is more than acceptable. I...

Re: Well Played Liam

Cheers guys, thought i better come on the bragging rights section lol. I finished 4th/1827 in FTOPS event 9 - $100 Rebuy for $47,400. I grinded all the way through, with about 170 left i lost with AA vs A6 which left me with a chip stack 1/5 of the average. Then i doubled with QK vs AT. I doubled ag...

Re: Have Your Say - Help Shape NPS Poker Offering to Furness Pla

Like Salmon said, anything between 25-50 is seen as a special event and attracts numbers. A 'series' of 4/5 games would be great, if you could have the last game of the series being 100-150 i'm still sure you would get decent numbers.

Re: Northern Poker Stars at Vickers Town C.C, Walney, Furness

I agree Chris that a 50-75 freezout would be a more popular game then a 30 rebuy. I think Walney would be a fine venue (i'm not just saying that because i live there!). It would be fine because like Paul Robbo said, people are prepared to travel all the way to blackpool and newcastle ect, so a game ...

Re: Big Decision @ B'pool £100

I am happyt with the limp there pre flop Jon, i'm sure we have discussed limping with AA KK QQ UTG on a ten man table before, i do it quite often and i do it more in 100 games. I am happy with the fold aswell, i think the part that got you in trouble was the heavy heavy bet on the flop. The bet shou...

Re: Wednesday Bridge League Standings

a 26 week league sounds tasty! I agree with everything, apart from only taking 5% out of the pot for the league. With the price going up to 12 for the game, the money in the pot will be like the last league when it was 10%. Or maybe make it 7-8%, just so league winners get rewarded a bit more. I lik...

Re: Super turbo heads up games, the most profitable games online

It's great to see people giving it a shot, although i personally am done with these games. I had a cracking start, as the stats show, but lately i have lost a considerable amount on these games. I made it to 3000 games ( 2000 for $28 and 1000 for $42) and i was $1,500 down from the poker side of thi...

Re: Northern Poker Stars Championship - Especially for Jon Seal

Be rude not to reply Ken, when the thread is dedicated to me 8) . So here is an idea that...

Just making a post after the longest day of poker in my life! Played three sessions today, just short of 12 hours playing time. Re: Local Poker Rankings ~ suggested format thread

PLEASE, don't use private online results, i think it will wreck the league. How are you going to give points out for online MTT's? What if I come 1st/400, how many points will i get? coming 1st out of a massive field should get you about 100 points, if coming 1st at the railway gets you 12. If someo...

Re: Local Poker Rankings ~ suggested format thread

I like that Bully. That probably is the best idea out of all of them, i think Jon mentioned it aswell. I would be happy with a system like that, i would rather it have 30 games then 10 though, and use the best 20 results. I don't like the idea of online results being used, even though i play online ...

Re: Local Poker Rankings ~ suggested format thread

I think the ranking system is long over due personally! It would cause good banter. I think your initial ideas sound good, but personally i would have it a bit more simple. I would have the same points you have said, but not give points for the online league. This is because; not everyone has the in...

Super turbo heads up games, the most profitable games online

I recently started a little experiment online, to see whether or not there is any skill involved in super turbo heads up games. By my findings after nearly 1000 games, it seems i have had an edge, and that infact the super turbo format has a decent element of skill involved. Super turbo games on ful...
