with your position (not chip but table) I would have definitely folded. a flat call invites people to call and the button/sb probably only called for odds increasing likelyhood that you are behind on the flop. yeh an all in also works for me.

yeh im in agreement with what your saying, if they have overpair then tough. however what I would say is that im always a bit wary of raising a shorter stack on the button with nothing because of their abillity to gamble all in pre flop. 36 x 30 was the prize pool with 400 for first. no dealers fee's out of the pot either because it was self deal

some one i know had a decent bet last year. a tenner on allen cunningham to make final table at 100-1 so he made a nice profit. still not very good odds though with about 7000 runners. phil ivey was something ridiculous like 16/1 or 25/1

maybe you could have put in a little more because you must have him on a draw or worse ace. hes calling 42000 into about 130000 pot so 3to1 aginst hitting flush of 4to 1 on river. you can probably just about forgive him for calling that with the knowledge if he hits he has all your chips, if he does...
